Devil in Tartan

The Highland Grooms, #4

"Devil In Tartan" is the fourth book the exciting Highland Grooms series by Julia London. This very lovely historical romance was absolutely captivating until the the last page was turned.

This was such a wonderful and well written story. I would say it was fairly low on the suspense but the drama aspect was beyond compare. I loved the main couple and reading along as they took their emotional journey. Aulay and Lottie were helplessly drawn to each other despite their rather illustrious beginning. Yet, there was more than one situation at play besides their feelings and the ocean of tumult between them.

I've been following this series since the beginning and have loved each book. This one may be my favorite one, as of yet. The characters were incredibly rich and perfectly described. I loved the adventure on the high seas, the humor of Lottie's madcap clan, and the passion between the main couple. "Devil In Tartan" really did have it all. Lastly, I hope that Julia London writes at least one more book in the Highland Grooms series, because Aulay's sister, Catriona, simply must get her own book. I am eagerly looking forward to it.
