Night's Surrender

Children of the Night, #7

Night's Surrender (Children of the Night Series, Book 7) by Amanda Ashley deserves 4 stars!

Abbey Marie Cordova life is extraordinary. She is human being with wonderful and supportive vampire parents. She grew up aware of the vampire community, but Abbey feels left out or not quite belonging. She has some doubts about if or when to accept the dark gift (being reborn a vampire).

Abbey and Nick are on a collision course. She literally walks right into him. Some woman have all the luck! Will this chance encounter change both of their lives?

Abbey has lost her zing for acting. She needs to make a change as something is missing from her life. Will she find what she is looking for?

Nick is a two thousand year old vampire who is stalking Abbey. She makes a difference in his life. Life before her had no meaning. He didn't know if he could move on or find a cure to be human again or what. Will he find what he's looking for or more?

The story started out slow and is around 350 pages. Otherwise, the story was well thought out with realistic dialogue and characters. I liked the mother and daughter talk about not making hasty decisions about accepting the dark gift. Her mother has some regrets about being a vampire. Her mom did not become a vampire until Abbey grew up.

The story showed vampire daily life, family values and romance in a good light.

Little did Abbey know that a night's surrender would change her life forever? Abbey and Nick get a much deserved happily ever after.

The story can be read standalone or in a series.
