Nancy Clancy: Star of Stage and Screen is an OK book for kids in elementary school.
The overall concept that it teaches children is to believe in themselves and to be themselves. I have not read any of the other Nancy Clancy’s books, but I liked that I got enough info in this book to make it a standalone.
What I didn't like was how the story had the video go viral on YouTube…especially since Nancy is only in third grade. I personally would not want my third grader on YouTube. Nor would I want my third grader to read this book and think that YouTube was an okay website to go on.
The ending was nice and I liked how the family all clapped together.
I am giving this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
