A Gala Event

An Orchard Mystery, #9

As with many cozy mysteries this one has a theme, one that I did enjoy. This one includes wedding plans and I thought that the characters were great. They were perfect for this genre and I enjoyed Meg. In this one we have a cold case. In most cozies the murder has just occurred, but not in this one. I loved that plot element.

In this book the past was really important to finding the murderer. It was thought provoking and we had to go back to the characters pasts. It was all very interesting.

I have a soft spot for New England cozies. In this one the Orchard lingo was also interesting.

Overall I’m giving this cozy 3 of 5 stars.
