Tricia Miles is ready to relax while her mystery bookstore, Haven’t Got A Clue, is being rebuilt. Her sister, Angelica, as head of the Chamber of Commerce, has arranged a cruise for the fellow business owners in Stoneham, and Tricia plans to soak up some sun while reading a good book. But the book themed cruise soon turns deadly for a fellow passenger and Tricia feels compelled to investigate the death. But she may find herself at the bottom of the ocean while looking for the killer.
I haven’t missed a Booktown Mystery yet, and “Tidal Wave” by Lorna Barrett is another great entry in the series. I’ve enjoyed watching the relationship between Tricia and Angelica grow over the books. I found myself angry with Tricia’s obsession with not eating, especially on a cruise filled with fantastic food, but was glad to see the reason behind it explored. The author has done an outstanding job of developing characters with interesting and varied personalities, while creating page turning mysteries. I can’t wait to see who turns up dead next in Stoneham.
