Maid for Death

Tricks and Treats

Ten minutes after going to clean room 52, Cassandra Kent ends up in the throws of passion with a stranger.

Since this is an erotic romance and nameless sex can be found in many an erotic romance book, that point wasn't surprising or disconcerting. We later learn there is a ghost named Miles who'd been killed in the room in 1924. After Cassandra "protests" and he says she has no choice the story starts to pick up. Then Sebastian Lord enters the room and stops Miles mission, temporarily. Will Miles succeed? Will Sebastian be able to convince Cassandra that he's one of the good guys and not insane? Will the passion between them continue outside of room 52?

Maid for Death had a great storyline and it was interesting, but you have to suspend your belief a lot. I tried to suspend my belief while reading this book, especially since it's in the paranormal genre, but I had a hard time doing this. Overall some things could have been done differently to make it feel more real.

Book Blurb for Maid for Death

Cassandra Kent has a problem. Two men want her. Fantasy is great, but reality can kill you.

One would-be lover is a pissed-off ghost. Once a year Miles returns on Halloween to kill a maid as an act of vengeance. The other is a dark, sexy Scot who is hunting the ghost. Sebastian plans to make sure the ghost stays dead and buried. Cassandra is the means to do it.

Cassandra is under threat from both men. Both want to have sex with her and both could be the death of her. What's a girl to do?
