Books written by Jack Greene are simply a guilty pleasure for me. I can honestly say that I know when I pick of a short story or a novella written by Mr. Greene, that I am in for a quick treat. I love Jack’s heroes. The chemistry between them is always smokin’ hot and I love the intense connection they feel for one another. In Jack’s latest novella, News At Eleven, I found myself once again enthralled by the sexy heroes and fast paced storyline.
When Alexander had talked the owner of a local television station to tailor a newscast directly to the GLBT community in L.A., he had no idea that it would be as popular as it has become. As the station manager, Alexander, is thrilled by it’s growing audience and even more happier with its very popular and very ‘out’ anchorman Jordan. To Alexander, Jordan is all that and a bag of chips. His bubbly personality and exotic prettiness makes Alexander wish he wasn’t always looked at as the 'mistakenly straight’ and somewhat dull station manager.
To Alexander’s utter shock, Jordan starts to flirt with him. Just when Alexander convinces himself that Jordan’s flirtatious nature is just a natural behavior for the pretty anchorman, Jordan sets out to actively seduce and snare the oblivious Alexander for himself. But, will office gossip get in the way of their budding romance and affectionate feelings toward each other?
I really liked this book. I’m giving it 4.5 stars even though it falls just under 21 pages. News at Eleven was very fast paced and the intense chemistry between Jordan and Alexander practically steamed up my computer screen. If you are a fan of Jack’s other books, you’ll most likely really enjoy News at Eleven too.
My only gripe about this book and other books I’ve read by Jack is that they are so short! Just when I start really getting into the book itself, it’s over and I’m always disappointed because I wish to read more about the characters themselves. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that one day, Jack will reward his fans with a longer book. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying these short gems when I need a short and sweet pick-me-up.
I'm still unable to find a website or a blog for this author. But, if you want more information about Jack's other books there is a complete listing of them at:
