Faerie Bound

Faerie Bound is the first book I've read by Jenna Castille and it won't be my last! Not only did I adore the two heroes, Garrick and Faolan, I also loved the unique and interesting world of pack politics and the fairy realm that she created, too.

Garrick is a very successful Alpha of his pack and the most sought out bachelor of his peers. Everyone in his pack hopes to be his mate, and have been unsuccessful at many attempts in capturing the big Alpha's eye and heart. Even with all of Garrick's successes, he has a secret he keeps buried inside of himself. Garrick dreams of having a nurturing D/s relationship with another, where HE is the submissive one. Since Garrick knows that if his peers catch on to his secretive needs, they'll look at him as weak, even though Garrick knows that being a submissive person in a D/s relationship is anything but that. When Garrick is told about a dating service that caters to shifters and otherworldly creatures, Garrick decides to take a chance with it and seek out what his secret desires are and hopes that everything works out for the best.

Faolan was banned from the fairy realm years ago. As a faerie Prince, he learned to adapt with humans and other shifters. Faolan knows that his tastes and desires are different than others like him. He's tattooed, pierced and has a dominant nature that won't be denied. When he joined the supernatural dating service, he really didn't expect to find anyone that truly suited his needs, so when he's matched up with Garrick both men are surprised from their immediate connection and attraction they have for each other. But, as they become closer, other forces try to pull them apart. Will their newly formed bond surpass any negative thing that is thrown their way?

I loved this book. I thought both Faolan and Garrick were both sexy heroes. I really enjoyed the chemistry between them and quickly rallied behind them to find their happy ending together. Even though their relationship has a definite dominant/submissive nature, the BDSM scenes we not over the top, and it was obvious to this reader that Faolan and Garrick were definitely looking out for each other's needs and wellbeing.

It was good to watch their affectionate feelings and trust build up between them. I thought the pacing of the storyline and of the intimacy between them was nicely done.

I would have liked to see Faolan and Garrick hang out together more. There is a lot of sex between them, and it would have been nice to see Faolan or Garrick really romance the other one. I do highly recommend this book if you are a fan of paranormal/fantasy type gay romances. I also think Faerie Bound would be a great way to ease into reading BDSM themed romances and even if you've never read homoerotic romances.

I noticed on Ms. Castille's website that this is her first gay romance. As a huge fan of gay romances, I hope that she continues writing more of this genre and continues the wonderful world that she created in this book. Her writing grabbed my notice from the first page and left me spellbound with this sexy and romantic story until the last word. Ms. Castille has a very informative and interesting website. Book Blurb for Faerie Bound

Garrick has spent the better part of his life making his Las Vegas lupin pack the strongest of all the post-war human-born paranormal groups. Now he wants something for himself—a mate. But how will his pack respond if they discover their Alpha is a closeted sexual submissive?

Not the typical faerie prince, Faolan is disobedient, lives in exile and has more piercings than a punk band. He’s also a sexual dominant longing for someone to call his own.

What are a lovelorn faerie and wolf to do? Turn to a paranormal dating service, of course. When Divine Intervention pairs Garrick and Faolan, it’s a match made in BDSM heaven, the resulting explosion a conflagration of passion the likes of which neither has ever known. Of course, the reactions to a wolf/faerie union are just as heated…
