Book one of The Breathing Series is a whirlwind of emotions as the reader in introduced into the intense world of Emma. I felt like I was in the room with her, watching each scene play out, unable to do anything to help. I felt happy, frustrated, angry and sad for the characters. They felt so real to me and even now I am scouring various book sites trying to locate the next two books in the series because I need to know what is going to happen next.
I devoured this 456 page book in one day. I could not literally put it down. Rebecca Donovan has created a novel that not only can entertain her readers, but she pulls you in and makes you feel more than you expected. I had moments where I couldn’t read any further because my eyes were too watered. I haven’t been this caught up in a book in quite a long time. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone I know. This book deserves 10 stars.
