First Frost is a fantastical novel that will bring you back to when you were a kid when knights in shining armor and princesses ruled your imaginary world. This story takes everything we thought we knew about fairy tales and twists them into an exciting adventure that will leave you begging for more. I loved all the characters and it was a real treat letting myself go back to my old imaginary friends that I always wished to be. First Frost was exciting and Bianca definitely delivers as a strong heroine. She fought for what she believed in and I cannot wait to see where she ends up next.
First Frost is a story about good and evil and how one family must overcome a lifelong curse to break free from the fairy tale that has entrapped them. Bianca having grown up in a museum full of "magical" fairy tale items thinks that life will never get more interesting than what it already is. Things go from normal to unbelievable when she stumbles upon her mom in a very intense situation and her whole world gets turned upside down. What comes next is nothing short of magical and fans of fairy tales will be begging for more. I know I am!
For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to “family only.”
Gathered within museum’s walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella’s glass slipper, Snow White’s poisoned apple, the evil queen’s magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty’s enchanted spinning wheel…
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family’s museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn’t really exist.
She’s about to find out how wrong she is.
