Wanted: Dead or In Love

Wanted: Dead or In Love was a great and fast read! I couldn't put it down. I jumped at the chance to read a teen paranormal version of Bonnie and Clyde. I am not a fanatic ha-ha, but I loved the movie that was out a few months ago. So when I saw this book I just had to read it.

This was a ride to say the least. It has a very small story, but it’s full of twists and turns. I think the author did an amazing job! The only issues I had with it was that the voices needed to be a little more their own. In some of the chapters the Bonnie/Monroe and Jack/Clyde tend to overlap. It would have been nice to have them a little more their own. Other than that I would have loved it if it would have been longer (HEHE). Well this one has some great characters from history and some new faces. I really didn’t like Jack and was kind of hoping that Clyde got to stay, ha-ha.

If you love teen books with historical characters with a paranormal twist then this is the book for you.

Book Blurb for Wanted: Dead or In Love

Impulsive high school senior Monroe Baker is on probation for a recent crime, but strives to stay out of trouble by working as a flapper at her father's Roaring 20's dinner show theater. When she cuts herself on one of the spent bullets from her father's gangster memorabilia collection, she unwittingly awakens Bonnie Parker's spirit, who begins speaking to Monroe from inside her head.

Later that evening, Monroe shows the slugs to Jack, a boy she meets at a party. He unknowingly becomes infected by Clyde, who soon commits a crime using Jack's body. The teens learn that they have less than twenty-four hours to ditch the criminals or they'll share their bodies with the deadly outlaws indefinitely.
