Ice Kissed

Kanin Chronicles, #2

I have to say that I didn't enjoy the org series that this is a spin off of. But book two of the Kanin Chronicles has blown me away again. I loved it.

In this second installment we have lies, traitors, deception, and more all tied up with romance, honor, and magic.

So the plot for this one had a few hiccups as there was a lot that could have been cut out and I think it would have sped up the story a little. Ice Kissed doesn't suffer from book two syndrome, so that was really good. I ended up with 2 copies of this book, which was kind of neat.

So Bryn is being accepted. Her skills are the thing to get her through anything that is stuck in her path. I really love her determination as a MC. She is one that every girl could look up to. In this book Bryn is trying to prove she has what it takes to get into the Elite Guard. But one twist makes her realize that she isn't as prepared as she thought she was.

The plot twists were great in Ice Kissed. And the flow of the story was pretty good. As for the other characters, I kind of wanted to slap the queen. I mean grow a spine already!!!

Ice Kissed does end on one killer cliffhanger. Luckily book three is not far behind. That makes me a very happy reader.

So if you love fantasy and kick butt female leads then check out Kanin Chronicles by Amanda Hocking.
