"The Vampire Book of the Month Club" is about Nora Falcon, a seventeen-year-old bestselling author of the vampire series, "Better off Bled". At a book-signing, a hot stranger approaches her and we later find out that he’s a vampire. A vampire who wants her to write a book that will surely end the lives of thousands of humans, and if she doesn’t write it, everyone she loves will be in danger.
I was truly surprised by this book. Really surprised. Before starting, I figured that it would be just another predictable vampire story, but I was wrong. About halfway in, these plot twists started appearing and I was in complete awe. The first one hooked me in and after that, I couldn’t go to sleep that night until I turned that last page. It was such a great read!
I fell in love with the characters, especially Nora, Wyatt and Abby. I loved their friendship and I had so much in common with all of them, especially Nora, the main character. Nora was very relatable when it came to her feelings and emotions. Even though she’s seventeen and her book series has been translated into thirty-four languages, she’s not snobby at all, even though she could be. She’s very humble and kind. I really liked her a lot.
The romance arc between Nora and Wyatt was really cute and sweet. It didn’t dominant the story, and I liked that. I liked that the romance didn’t boggle and water-down the real plot of the book. The story stayed action-packed and fast-paced with just a few kisses and caresses sprinkled in.
Overall, I loved this book! The pacing was perfect throughout, and the plot twists were placed in the right places. The characters were relatable yet endearing and unique in their own ways. The writing was simple and easy-to-read while being very engaging. The story sort of ends on a cliff-hanger, and I really hope the writer gives us a sequel. I really need to know what happens next!
