"The Night Mark" is a time-traveling romance about Faye—a woman who stumbles upon a lighthouse, and finds an old picture of the lighthouse keeper from years prior, and he reminds her of her first love. When she almost drowns in the ocean, she gets transported back in time, and starts falling for the lighthouse keeper.
I have to say that this book made it onto my best books of 2017 list! It’s truly a foot-sweeping, body twirling romance that will tug at your heart strings. It has an Outlander feel to it as well, which is probably another reason why I loved it so much! It’s also incredibly well-written, and I love the author’s writing style. This is my first Tiffany Reisz book, but it won’t be my last.
The characters were very charming and delightful. I really liked Faye. I found her very relatable and likable. Carrick, the lighthouse keeper, was swoon worthy! He was so romantic and outstanding—he totally had me gushing.
Overall, I don’t want to give too much away, but this was a great read! It’s a beautifully, well-written romance that has interesting characters and a captivating, intriguing plot. I recommend this to Outlander fans or anyone looking for a sweet romance.
