It was a little hard for me to get into the book in the beginning, it was a little slow but it picked up. Kacey gets a shock when she finds out Ben is back in town but that’s nothing compared to the shock Ben gets when he finds out he has missed out on a lot of things. Ben’s father manipulates a chance meeting between him and Kacey and things get really heated. Even though they still have that fire it does not take away their problems. When they are called out on a rescue mission that ends up really personal they will have to work together to get the job done.
The emotions in this book were crazy. I felt Kacey;s pain, loss, hurt and anger. I felt Ben’s anger, confusion and hurt. Kacey taking to time to get to know her daughter could not have been easy but I applaud her for it. She’s trying to reconnect with her girl and get back some of that time that was taken when she was on deployment. Ben and his music career was another interesting thing. They both had to deal with some major issues and the situations they fund themselves in would have broken most people. They were both strong characters and Audrey was something else as well.
At the end of "Wild Montana Skies" there is a website that will take you to a preview of one of Susan May Warren’s books, coming out in spring called "Rescue Me".
