The Staying Kind

Rio is a natural born drifter. This place she's in now is making it really hard for her to leave. She was staying at a nice cabin away from all the noise but that ended when the cabin’s owner came back...or so Rio thought. At first when Travis realized someone had been staying in his cabin he was pissed. After he found out it was the interesting woman who’s working for his aunt he became intrigued and invited her to stay at his home rather than the cabin. I found that really crazy considering he’s the chief of police.

Travis’ daughter Jessa is something else too. She’s a little spitfire who hate’s the world as only any normal teenager should. I love that she opens up when she comes around horses though. Sadie’s a real sweetheart and I just wanted to hug her. She really cares about her family but more than that she cares about Rio too. I thought it was awesome.

“The Staying Kind” was an easy read, but boy does Travis’s ex-mother-in-law need a reality check. She stood there constantly judging Rio when her daughter is nowhere to be found. So who in reality is the more undeserving person? Rio was awesome and lives her life the way she wants to and I think that says a lot about her. The experiences she must have and the sights she must have seen...the mind boggles. I really enjoyed reading this book.
