Shadow Reaper

The Shadow Series, #2

Shadow Reaper is the next book in the Shadow series and it was amazing. I got the chance to learn a little more about Ricco and what happened in his past. In their world it is very rare to have a female shadow reaper around so when they stumble upon them, they snatch them up. They form a protective shield around them and keep them safe because they are so cherished and wanted. For this reason Ricco definitely notices when Mariko comes into his life.

I’m glad I also got to know a little more about their mother, Eloisa as well. In the first book I have to admit, I did not like her but she seemed a little more human in Shadow Reaper. I hope to read a book that tells her story soon. Emmanuelle is my favorite out of them all and it’s not just because she’s female. I feel a connection to her, she’s firer, loves her family and knows how to kick ass when needed.

There was a lot going on in Shadow Reaper but it was not convoluted and made perfect sense. The sentences flowed well and were very clear. You also get a preview of a new book in her GhostWalker series called Power Game. I highly recommend this great read.
