Angel has always interested me and I have always wanted to know her story. In “Nauti Angel” you not only get to know her better but you also understand why she is the way she is. She’s badass, doesn't take any shit, knows how to use a knife as well as a gun when the situation calls for it, worries about those she loves and hates being vulnerable or weak. Especially if it’s around people she doesn't know or trust.
Duke was slightly irritating but then I can’t fault him for wanting to be the center of Angel’s world. I just hate that it began or started with a lie. As the book went on I grew to like him because he really does care for Angel and wants to support her. That being said, he has his moments where he’s an idiot. Angel has been in battles her whole life, she can read any situation and when she gives the command to stand down, like a typical male he ignores her and almost winds up dead. I applauded Angel when she not only lit into him but the rest of the team and Natches’s reaction: priceless.
I have been with this series from the very beginning and it was truly a gift and really amazing to see Dawg, Natches and Rowdy’s kids and the mischievous things they get into. Natches got his just deserts when it came to Bliss and it was funny as hell. Seeing Chaya again after I left her in the last book torn to pieces when she finds out who Angel really is was interesting. Her reaction to Angel in the beginning was starting to piss me off and I kind of had to take a step back and see the situation from her point of view. I loved reading every second of “Nauti Angel” and I hope that Lora Leigh will be doing books on the children sometime soon. I really want to know how the situation with Bliss and Bran develops and the hell Natches is going to go through.
I highly recommend this great read.
