In “More Than a Fling” Ruby is a person I found myself relating to. There are some similarities but she’s someone anyone can get to know and love. I love the swimming lesson Sawyer gave her and the kids, it was a carefree moment that made me smile. Most people don’t like cops for whatever reason but Sawyer is someone you can trust and get to know. He cares about everyone, even though he has secrets of his own.
This was a slow book starting out but once I got into the story I was caught. Ruby’s history is something that many people deal with and die trying to get out of but she did it and is still trying to fight. With Sawyer by her side she can beat the odds and start to truly live.
Overall, a good story.
