His All Night

Edge of Scandal, #2

Jared aka Red and Calisa are a fire that turns wood into ash real quick. You can tell from the beginning of the book that they have a connection and though what they did was wrong considering Calisa was on a date, it was kind of funny and hot. I also love the fact that Cali has Syd. Everyone needs someone to talk to and Syd is Cali’s sounding board as well as friend. I will also add that Syd’s cravings are interesting...ice cream and chips anyone?

I think it was kind of interesting to see a role reversal of the sexes. Usually it’s the woman who wants the relationship and the man saying no. In His All Night Cali is the one who doesn't’ want the relationship and is fine being a booty call while Jared is falling fast and hard for her. Seeing their thoughts and the way they work things out was very interesting. They have so many obstacles and a big one is one that changed Jared’s life.

This book was an easy read and I enjoyed reading it. Cali and Jared are a prime example of what real people in everyday life go through. Their story wasn’t fake and I felt a connection to them and what they were going though. I recommend this read.

THE PRICE OF PLEASURE

In relationships, Calisa Harper has clear rules: no expectations, no commitments, no one gets hurt. She doesn't need a diamond ring to bring her happiness. She just needs Jared. Fine, fit, and ferocious in bed, Jared is Calisa's ideal combination of friend and lover. But the no-strings status they've shared for years is about to get very tangled.

Jared Williams is the kind of man most women long for: sexy, successful, and ready to settle down. He knows convincing the commitment-phobic Calisa that forever is nothing to fear won't be easy-especially when his ex turns up with a daughter she never told him about. In a heartbeat, Jared and Calisa's passion goes from fiery to fragile. He wants to hold on to the love they share but is terrified that their next night together could be their last . . .
