Finding Zoe

Atlantic Divide, Book 3

Finding Zoe is a very interesting story. I loved the whole family theme and how protective Ryan is of his mother. His grandfather, Emory, is the same way. He was like a little fairy godmother putting Zoe and Mac together once he realized a wrong had been done.

Cormack Blunt is his movie star name, but everyone who knows him calls him Mac. He’s afraid of heights, needles and horses. It’s ironic considering one of the scenes he had to do is throw himself off one. After 11 years he’s returning to the UK from America to do scenes for a movie. He’s goes back to the house where the love of his life, Zoe, used to live. He is surprised to find her outside sunbathing on a boat. Not only that but she has a 10 year-old son, Ryan, he never knew about. He’s never stopped loving Zoe. She left him and not only that but she took his son too. It’s not until later that he realizes they were both played by a woman he trusted for years, his agent Astral Heaven.

Zoe is a single mother who will do anything to protect her son. When Mac comes into their lives she accepts that Ryan will want to get to know him. 11 years ago Mac’s agent gave her a check for 50,000 pounds and told her that Mac never wanted to see her again, that he wanted nothing to do with her. It wound up being a check she never cashed. She came home to her parents, bloody, in tears and pregnant. They lived on a farm then but wound up selling it, moving away and using the money to put her through veterinary school. Her mother died a month later and it’s just been her father Emory, Ryan, their two dogs, Coke and Ice. Even though she still loves him she won’t let herself believe that Mac will stay.

Ryan is 10 years old and thinks it’s amazing that Cormack Blunt is his father. He always thought he looked like him. Cormack is his idol and he gets to walk down the red carpet. Even though Ryan thinks it’s cool his mother comes first. So when things start to go bad he sticks up for her and covers for her when Cormack calls the house. He even goes so far as to tell him to stop hurting her. When things work out no one is as thrilled as he is after all he gets his mom and his dad.
