Broken Open

Hurley Brothers, #2

Ezra was a little irritating but I understood where he was coming from. An addiction is an addition and once you beat it you worry about being addicted to something else. In the end he got his head on straight and got the gorgeous Tuesday.

Tuesday’s husband died of cancer and it took her awhile to get back to herself. Besides dealing with his crazy parents and their threats she is going back to her maiden name and opening her gallery. She has an awesome family that looks out for her and supports her. I love her parents, they are so cute. Ezra’s family is the same even though they are rich and live on a ranch in a little community.

Tuesday has a best friend from college, Natalie, who has been adopted into her family and is currently her roommate and dating one of Ezra’s brothers. I found it so amusing how matter of fact she is about sex. She has no shame in getting what she wants and how she wants it. It’s hot as hell. Most of the things that pop into her mind she says and it’s so funny. Her relationship with Natalie is great. I love that she has her around to talk to and vice versa.

Broken Open was a really great read and this author is one of my favorites. I love how Lauren Dane threw Jeremy in there from the Brown Family series.

Book Blurb for Broken Open

Beyond passion. And beyond their control…

Five years ago, Tuesday Eastwood's life collapsed and left her devastated. After an empty, nomadic existence, she's finally pieced her life back together in the small Oregon town of Hood River. Now Tuesday has everything sorted out. Just so long as men are kept for sex, and only sex…

Then she met him.

Musician and rancher Ezra Hurley isn't the man of Tuesday's dreams. He's a verboten fantasy—a man tortured by past addictions whose dark charisma and long, lean body promise delicious carnality. But this craving goes far beyond chemistry. It's primal. It's insatiable. And it won't be satisfied until they're both consumed, body and soul…
