Worth Everything

Worth It, Book 4

Anastasia Renaldi was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Gavin got a smack in the head. Raised in immensely different ways, they meet when Stasia is experiencing a crisis of epic proportions and Gavin is questioning his dedication to his career to the exclusion of all else.

Stasia is informed her father is not who she thought and she is cut out of her family’s life by his will. As she pursues getting to know her biological family (a direct competitor of the Renaldi family, the Worth’s) she uses Gavin’s connection to the Worth family as an in. I always saw Stasia as a drowning woman gasping for air. What a shock to deal with and her mother’s immature actions didn’t help.

Gavin struck me as two-dimensional until he messed up and started to have feelings for Stasia. She was like a breath of fresh air and the best mistake he ever made. In fact, of the two he fell the fastest and that’s what made the “big event” that tore them apart more painful. She wasn’t on the same page yet as she started out with a handicap – her personal drama which she employed him to help her sort out.

This was quite a different perspective of the Worth men from the previous books, and frankly if I’d read this first I wouldn’t have liked them at all. They acted like asses, in my opinion, and if I were Stasia I would have stopped trying to connect. A good read with an intricate story line, but I would have been happy with the series ending with the Worth brothers. I understand this is an introduction to a new series involving the Renaldi brothers.

Can two lost souls find their way to love?

Anastasia Renaldi’s life is a complete lie. Disinherited from the family fashion-accessory business and informed she’s the illegitimate daughter of the famous—and long-dead—Michael Worth of Worth Luxury, she has no one to turn to. No real family, no job, no identity to claim. Lost and confused, she turns to the one man who can help her obtain what is rightfully hers.

Attorney Gavin Westmore is hired to discover the truth. Does Stasia Renaldi have a stake to claim in the Worth empire? From the moment he meets her, Gavin knows what sort of woman Stasia is. Calculating, devious—she won’t let anything or anyone get in the way of her pursuit of a fortune. As long as he can collect his generous fee, he’s fine with it.

But Gavin soon discovers his perception of Stasia is wrong. She truly is confused, a sweet, ambitious woman who wants what rightfully belongs to her. Soon they’re spending lots of time together—and it goes beyond the attorney/client type meetings. The only question is, after untangling the web of lies to get to the truth, whether there will be any room left for love.

Warning: A secret Worth sister? Yes, indeed. Not only will you catch a glimpse of all those delicious Worth brothers one last time, you’ll get to know their sweet, feisty sister—and the man who’ll tame her. All in the name of love.
