Whatever It Takes

Every man has his Achilles heel. Mason has just met his, but she’s the quintessential good girl. What to do?

Lauren is your average girl going to college. That’s when she meets a man she doesn’t know what to do with. He’s everything that makes her heart sing but he’s not what one would call “good.” What to do?

The heart wants what the heart wants. In this case, Lauren and Mason are also fighting destiny as prophesied when they were children. Are they major players in a world event? No, but who says you have to be more than average to have an amazing love?

The story moved along nicely, showing Lauren’s almost suicidal trust of her then-boyfriend. This girl is as naïve as they come, or maybe just lacking in street smarts. Regardless, she brings out the alpha protector in Mason and the reader gets to sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s not what you think; he’s a perfect gentleman around Lauren and that’s the first clue she’s different.

Some drugs and violence here, as well as (eventually) some steamy action between Lauren and Mason. I enjoyed the story over all.

Book Blurb for Whatever It Takes

Their instant attraction stokes a fire and soon they’re both consumed—heart, body and soul. Determined to make himself worthy of the girl of his dreams, Mason sets out to reinvent himself. His hard work begins to pay off but just when their happy ending is in sight, danger intervenes. Laurie narrowly escapes several attacks, spurring Mason to track down the source of the threats.
