Turn It On

Turner Twins, Book 1

Maxine Turner is part of a huge overwhelming family. She loves them dearly but they can be a bit much. When she inherits her grandmother’s home she is thrilled to finally have a place of her own. But when she is just moving in vandals start to make her life a little scary, so she looks for help outside of the family. And finds, and wants to keep, Ryan.

Ryan Claymore joined the Army at a young age to escape his father. When he finds out years later that he has a stepbrother with special needs who is now orphaned, he retires from the military to take care of him. Starting his own security company is a way to use his military experience to make a living. When he and Maxine meet, he’s instantly attracted but cautious. He’s had a lot of changes in his life and wonders if a relationship would be a good idea right now.

With Maxine’s family and Ryan’s brother, these two have a lot going on. When the vandalism starts to escalate so does their romance. While Ryan fights it, Maxine embraces it. She was raised in love and sees no reason not to grab it. With the mystery of whom the vandal is, Ryan’s protectiveness of his stepbrother and Maxine, and the chemistry neither can resist, this was a captivating read. With a lot of foreplay before actual intimacy, this was a fast-paced read, but the build up was deliberate making the anticipation slowly escalate. A nice change of pace.

Warning: Realistic multiple orgasm sex scenes, men getting in touch with their emotions, brothers being—well—brothers, and a very tempting back-porch swing…you have been warned.
