Sinner, Savior

Book two in the Brooklyn Sinners series.

Convinced his heart was broken when Angelo chose his cop, Pablo is living in a world he never anticipated. He’s now “the boss” and not very comfortable with it. His sexual preferences are private and he keeps it that way with only his inner circle privy to his attraction to men. When he first encounters Dev, right hand man to his nemesis, he is blown away and can’t quite grasp what’s happening to him. Dev is walking a thin line and knows it but when he comes face to face with Pablo he throws caution to the wind. He knows what they are experiencing is once in a lifetime and he embraces it. What follows is an emotional bloodletting that left me breathless as well as envious. The author is phenomenal in conveying what Dev and Pablo are feeling and having the reader experience it too. While a bumpy road, Dev and Pablo will have a future.

Full of gang violence, death, knives, subterfuge and outright insanity this book was an emotional roller coaster I didn’t want to get off. I didn’t think the first book could be beat but I was wrong. In reading the first book you saw Angelo unwittingly break Pablo’s heart and felt for him. As the depth of the pain is revealed Dev does his best to heal it but he inflicts his own damage and this time Pablo is fighting the pain. If you aren’t a fan of MM romance you might want to reconsider. The author isn’t penning a MM romance, she’s writing a relationship with all its ugly warts for your inspection and delectation. And delectable it is. I can’t wait for more stories in the series.

Book Blurb for Sinner, Savior

Gun runner Pablo Castillo has cemented his reputation in the gun trade as callous and cold-hearted. Personal feelings no longer matter, not with everyone out to make him a sacrifice on their way to the top. He remains untouchable, until a meeting with a rival gang leader and a new deal brings him face-to-face with temptation.

Dev is the right hand to a sadistic bastard out for blood and glory. He hides his true feelings of distaste for his boss, not the least of his many secrets. He could’ve sworn those secrets were safe, but after meeting Pablo he’s not so sure. The two men come together in a heated affair neither can deny, battling themselves, each other and a deadly enemy bent on spilling blood. Pablo and Dev will have to stick together or walk away from a love neither man expected to find. The choice should be simple. It never is.

Reader Advisory: Contains brief scenes of gang-related violence.
