Mason, Clay and April. A friendship begun when they were thirteen blossoms to more in their senior year of high school. It’s nothing any of them planned or expected, and it certainly wasn’t comfortable, but it just seemed the only way. April couldn’t choose between Clay and Mason, and Clay and Mason refused to back down from their attraction to April or lose their friendship with one another. So a ménage was born.
But a lot of changes come in your senior year of high school. The trinity splits; April to New York and college, Mason to the army, and Clay becomes a professional bronc rider. They keep in touch, but suddenly April stops writing both men and they all drift apart. Something happened that made her sever all ties. What could that be? Years later, an accident puts Clay in a coma, and the three are united again. Can they figure out what went wrong, and maybe make it work this time?
Yes, this is a ménage relationship. But it was a much more in depth story than the three parties constantly jumping into carnal situations. They are all young when it starts, and while Clay seems to get along the best with the situation, April and Mason really struggle with their identities and if something is wrong with them.
I was enthralled with this story. It took a much deeper look into the emotions of the parties involved, not just their hormones. While most ménage stories are painted as an effortless endeavor, this one was fraught with conflict, jealousy and angst. A more accurate depiction of the evolution of a loving ménage and how it affects not only those involved but those around them as well. A great book you will not be disappointed to have invested your time reading.
Bronc riders Mason and Clay have shared both good times and bad, but they never expected to share their boss’ daughter, April. Can two friends love one woman, body and soul, without it destroying them?
The heart wants what it wants. For April that means not choosing between the two cowboys she loves, no matter how wrong it may seem inviting them both into her bed. But can the relationship survive when life sends the three lovers in opposite directions?
Filled with hot sex, passion, and realistic characters, and set amid the world of rodeo where life is lived eight seconds at a time, Rough Stock sends author Cat Johnson galloping full speed into the tantalizing realm of ménage romance.
