Well the gloves are off and the game is on in Bitten Point. Things have been getting more and more dire as the series has progressed and much is revealed in the time it takes for Constantine and Aria to figure out they belong together.
Constantine and his faithful companion Princess, the Chihuahua, have been a constant since the start of the series and I was glad they got a book that focused on them. Yes them. They are a unit and you love one, you love the other. That’s a sore spot for Princess, and Aria isn’t too thrilled about it either. That added some much-appreciated humor as to the establishment of pecking order when it comes to who “owns” Constantine.
As any male of any species, Constantine caught himself a few times wondering what in the heck was happening to him as he steadily fell under Aria’s spell. The old saying the bigger they are the harder they fall applies. While he resisted a little, he went under fast. He’s no stranger to dedication and faithfulness as witnessed by his affection to his dog. His worries are all for nothing.
Aria is in a pickle when Constantine finds her, but her true self comes through regardless. She’s fierce and protective and even though small in stature, she’s big in determination. As she and Constantine battle forces that defy description and an evil that is unimaginable in the shifter community, she also finds room in her formerly shut off heart for a certain shifter and his trusty companion. A little slow in getting to the sexy parts since the mystery drives the series, but worth the wait. An engaging and entertaining read.
He loves to HUG and SQUEEZE.
Welcome to Bitten Point, where a big bad snake dotes on his itty-bitty dog. Got a problem with it? Then speak to his fist.
Don’t mock Constantine’s dog. Princess might weigh only six and a half pounds, but she’s tough—so watch your ankles. Be warned, if she doesn’t like you then neither will Constantine.
Except he kinds of likes Aria, even though Princess would prefer to bury her in a hole.
Could it be because Aria has secrets? Lots of them, and they all have to do with the danger stalking Bitten Point. People are missing, and some have turned up dead. Monsters are roaming and not just the swamp at night but the streets too. At the heart of the mystery is a bite-sized woman, a woman Constantine wants to hug tightly in his coils and…keep forever?
A cold-blooded snake, Constantine can’t help but crave the warmth that is Aria, but can he keep her out of mortal danger long enough to make her his mate?
