Trina is a widow just beginning to spread her wings. A young bride, she put her wants and needs on hold throughout her marriage in deference to her husband. Now, financially independent, she’s making decisions about her life to suit only herself. And it appears that the young Mr. Navarro Raine would suit her just fine.
Navarro is about to lose his home. His youngest brother mortgaged the family ranch and it’s up for payment. No money, they lose the only home they’ve ever known. Then he is propositioned by the beautiful newcomer Trina Mattews. She’s small and blonde, a total opposite of the woman he’s usually drawn to. But if she finds a tall Native American with blue eyes worthy of twenty thousand dollars, who is he to argue? And it’s not like fulfilling her proposition will be a hardship. If she has the guts to make the proposition, how can he refuse?
Trina stumbling through her proposition was almost painful to read, but well worth the effort. As a woman, I could feel her pain and trepidation. Insecurity is nothing new when approaching a man, but a younger man who has the body of a Greek God? That was the reader’s first inkling of how strong a woman Trina was. After the life she led she would have to be. It doesn’t take a weak woman to want to make her man happy; it takes a strong one.
Navarro was portrayed as the caregiver of his family, and that was easy to discern. His giving and loving personality made the unbelievable scenario a little harder to swallow. His history also gave the reader a little foreshadow of what was to come. What was a surprise was who caused the obligatory rift between Navarro and Trina. And doesn’t that troublemaker deserve his own story? I can only hope he’s next. A good solid read, with plenty of sex and risk-taking in the bedroom, as well as a love taking two people totally by surprise.
Trina Mattews lost her husband of sixteen years to a tragic accident. Starting her life over in the small town of Hailey, Texas, at the age of thirty-eight sounded like a good idea but she never counted on the loneliness she’d experience.
Navarro Raine is the hottest man she’s ever seen. He’s tall, with piercing blue eyes and Native American beauty. He fills her nighttime fantasies and makes her wonder about all the things she’s yet to experience in bed. And Navarro has a reputation for being very good in that department…
Discovering he’s about to lose his family ranch, Trina has the perfect solution for both of them. She’s willing to offer Navarro the money to save his ranch if he’ll give her the kind of sex she’s only read about. It might be the craziest thing she’s ever done but after years of vanilla sex, she’s made up her mind—it’s time to taste a few more flavors.
