Pack Rescue

Western Wolves 1

This is the first book of a series, and it starts off with a bang. There were a lot of touchy subjects in this book and it's not for the faint of heart. And the sex. There was almost too much of it, if that's possible. I would have preferred multiple encounters throughout the book rather than the marathons; they got to be a bit much. I would have been happy with Cutler as the hero, Nath felt a little out of the loop for me. Fina was a spectacular heroine, full of courage and purpose even when she thought herself weak and a fake. The intermixing of human behavior with animal behavior was interesting to me as I work with dogs in my day job. A lot of the behavior rang true.

I will definitely be interested in another book in this series, especially if it involves Owen, the third surviving pack member of Fina's original pack. Another important, to me, feature of this book was the inclusion of an epilogue. I love to know how things are in the future after the conclusion of a good book and this one was not only upbeat but showed how the family has gelled and grown.

Book Blurb for Pack Rescue

Fina has a life, a family, a future—until a pack of rogue werewolves kills everyone she loves and tries to tie her to their pack permanently.

Fina ends up in Wyoming, in the middle of a huge pack led by a sheriff whose streak of badass goes bone-deep. She needs the safety of a pack to figure her next moves but one whiff tells Cutler that Little Miss Hellfire from back east is his mate, and she’s going to be staying with his pack for good. Unfortunately, there’s the tiny complication of his brother Nath, who recognizes immediately that Fina is his mate as well.

Fina has to navigate pack politics, her own fears and the haunting specter of the rogues who are still after her. Luckily, she has two yummy brothers focused on keeping her safe and fulfilling her every need.
