Their attraction was overwhelming when she was a young woman. So much so, Nick left her alone for fear of going too far. When tragedy struck and stole her parents as well as her vision, Summer struck out in anger and told Nick she never wanted to see him again. He took it to heart and moved to the other side of the planet. Years have passed, and now Summer’s brother is assigning the one man he can trust to protect his sister from a serial killer. And that may be the most dangerous thing of all.
Not the young woman he remembers, Summer is an artist who specializes in erotic art. While his feelings apply pressure, so does Summer’s obvious passion for everything around her. Could that include him? Forced to hide in a wilderness cabin, Summer and Nick can no longer ignore what has always been between them. And what will the future hold once it’s unleashed?
Summer was a strong woman and very capable, but sometimes she made "too stupid to live" decisions. That said, I really enjoyed this read. While I understand Nick’s hesitance when Summer was eighteen, and we wouldn’t have a story without a conflict, I wish he had taken what he wanted. While patient, when he cut loose it was worth the wait. His total immersion in Summer was hot and enviable, but made for some problems when Summer’s stalker got too close. On a side note, Summer’s brother needs a woman to keep his nose out of other peoples love lives. Consider that a hint for a future book. A recommended read.
