Make Love, Not War

The Revenant Chronicles, #2

I’m apparently in the minority when it comes to my feelings about this book. But it is just my opinion. I enjoy this author immensely, although I am fairly new to her co-author on this one. I didn’t feel the chemistry I anticipate in stories penned by this author and that bummed me out. Gunnar and Daani are interesting characters at first glance but that’s all we get, a glance. And I’ve read all the shorties from this author, so I’m not confusing short with a lack of ... something.

I did identify with both of them hurting and wanting to forget a while, and they did that in spades. While this is not a great budding romance, it is a hot and steamy romp with one purpose only; fill in the void that these two lonely people feel. Is it their career that leaves them empty or the loss of friends in the heat of the battle? Don’t know and wish I did. I will read more in this series as my interest is piqued. And it certainly delivers in the sex department, just not so much in other areas.

Book Blurb for Make Love, Not War

Straight off the battlefield, mercenary for hire Rodaan Black, Daani to her friends (those still alive anyway), is looking for two things: to get drunk and get laid. Walking into the best bar in town, she lucks out on both the alcohol and tall, blond and handsome in the corner. Perhaps she can persuade him that the night is perfect for a little 'get to know you' session.

Revenant and soldier of fortune, Gunnar, had one thing on his mind, getting drunk and numbing the loss a couple of good friends... That is until the hottest chick he's seen in many a month wanders into his bar, packing heat of both the tactile and physical kind. Hoping the gods are smiling down on him, he makes his move...

Two soldiers, one night... and an unexpected passion.

*Please be aware that this is an Erotica Short*
