Lacey is an Adept; a member of a race that changes its' physiology to its' surroundings. The changes occur slowly, over time. But Lacey was involved in a horrible battle, and lived to see her comrades, and lover, die. She blames herself for not being able to change and save them. As a result, now that it is too late, she can change immediately and manipulate her surroundings in response to danger.
Now Lacey is a "secret weapon" for Spaceforce. Anything she wants or needs to keep her happy, she is to get. And she wants two lovers. She'll never invest herself in just one man again after seeing her lover die. With her bodies new abilities comes a new voracious appetite for sex. She needs a man, now. Her sisters husbands send her an anonymous man, and their intimacy is spectacular. She doesn't know who he is, but we know it is Junkie, a friend of Jed, one of her sisters husbands.
A man she is irresistibly drawn to is Jason Orlov. Jason also has feelings for Lacey, but Jason has a painful sexual past, and doesn't know if he can have an emotional and physical relationship with a woman. But the orders are to make Lacey happy. How does one go about that?
Made for two heroes was a great read, and we got to visit the main characters from previous Made for Two books. The process of healing Jason was so sad. And following Junkie's journey from ladies man to a man in love was heartwarming. All in all, a good story.
Book 3 in the Made for Two series.
Lieutenant Lacey Meadows wants Jason Orlov in the worst possible way. But after losing her last lover in an enemy attack, she's never going to put all her eggs in one basket again. She wants two lovers or nothing at all.
Lieutenant Jason Orlov has been in love with Lacey since he first saw her face in a drawing. But he's not going to share her with another man. As a former Ibeeza Boy, he can barely tolerate a man's touch, even when it's casual. And because of his past, he refuses to be anybody's sex toy ever again.
As their commanding officer, with complete authority over the two lieutenants, Junkie forces them together while planning to satisfy his own hunger for Lacey as the third member of the ménage à trois. He's only in it for the sex, for as long as it lasts. Of course, he wasn't counting on wanting it to last forever.
Reader advisory: This book contains a scene of sexual exhibitionism.
