Love the Sinner

Detective Gabe Ashby has a live in girlfriend but can’t seem to end the relationship that, in his opinion, is going nowhere. She’d like to get married; he does not. With that in the back of his mind he’s shocked by his reaction to the criminal he’s interrogating. While he can’t rouse an erection for his woman, this man gets one without even trying. He’s not sure how to handle that.

Angelo Pagan is a bad man, no questions asked. But he’s bad for the right reasons. Is there a line that can really define a person as good or bad? Aren’t we all a combination of the two? Hiding his homosexuality his whole life has resulted in a very lonely existence. When Angelo encounters Gabe he’s instantly smitten and pursues the cop with every intention of winning him. The question is, how can this doomed relationship ever work? With the way both men feel about one another, how can it not?

Wow. This was a powerful story that covered all the feelings that define the human condition. I was totally captivated by the author’s storytelling style. While there was a lot going on in both men’s lives, their feelings for one another were the focus and I never lost my connection with them. The romantic encounters were so emotional they made me literally breathless. Again wow. This is a book you must read, and as it’s the first in a series of at least three you will have more to look forward to in the future.
