Elite Ops

We've met Jordan and Teyah before. At least you should have if you are reading this book. This is the conclusion of the Elite Ops Series, so if you are joining now, go back and read the previous books.

Like everyone else, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the last book in the Elite Ops Series. There have been a lot of mixed reviews about this book, and I'm going middle of the road. I agree with just about all of the reviews, good and bad. As expected of a Lora Leigh book the sex was hot and plentiful, but lacked the intimacy I hoped for between Jordan and Teyah. While other stories in this series were great, this one was predictable, and I unfortunately the last book in this series lacked the sizzle I was hoping for.

While my dedication to all books by Lora Leigh made me keep reading, I sometimes struggled to continue. The grammatical errors in the book were plentiful and distracting, making me sit and examine what I just read to determine if I had interpreted it correctly.

While the most common complaint of this book seems to be that there is too much sex, for me that is why Lora Leigh is an immediate buy for me. What bothered me the most was Jordan's denial of love based on an emotional injury in his teens. A fear of loss or hurt would have been easier to swallow than total denial of the emotion that makes the world go around.

While this book has flaws, and I've yet to read the perfect book, Lora Leigh does have the uncanny ability to get you emotionally invested in her characters and wanting to see them find happiness together. So while this didn't deliver on the level I had hoped, it is the ending of a phenomenal series that you would be advised to read in its entirety due to the hotness of the men. The story is just the cherry on top. Happy reading.
