Just Sex

Kat is just coming out of a shell she’s been forced to live in her entire life. Now a widow with a son she’s free to do as she wishes, but unfortunately is too insecure to go after what she really wants. Verbally abused by her mother and cheated on by her now-deceased husband, it’s a wonder she has any self-esteem at all. What she does have is thanks to her best friend. So how does one go about seducing a man ten years her junior?

J.J. has been in lust with Kat since the first time he met her. He can’t believe how her idiot husband cheats on her and is secretly thrilled when she becomes a widow. Now to make a move to impress and win the woman of his dreams.

I soooo wanted to love this book but just couldn’t get into the characters. Who wouldn’t want a young tight man at their beck and call who can keep up with them in bed instead of rolling over and snoring? I just had a hard time with Kat gobbling up all J.J. had to give while holding him back with one hand “for his own good.” Really? That was a little demeaning and motherish for my taste.

J.J. wasn’t perfect either, and his bomb at the end just tied things up too neatly for me. When Kat and J.J. kept their mouths shut and their opinions to themselves they made for a hot couple that was very creative. I found myself wishing to know more about Kat’s best friend’s marriage, as the hints thrown about were very intriguing. An entertaining read that could have been more.

Book Blurb for Just Sex

When J.J. stumbles upon his conservative client in the throes of a self-induced climax, his desire to have Kat’s curvy body beneath his reaches the breaking point. At that moment, J.J. knows she needs someone to tend to more than just her yard. Now to convince Kat that he’s the right man for the job.

Judging by her pristine yard, Kat already knows J.J. is good with his hands—and she’s more than willing to put those hands to better use. The man fulfills her every lusty dream, and Kat never thought a sex-filled fling would change her life for the good. Too bad it can’t last…
