After the death of her father Acadia is forcing herself to live life. Always taking care of her dad left her with little social life, and when she won the lottery she suddenly had funds to play with. Planning a trip to Venezuela with friends was her coming back to life party. Too bad she's almost going to die. More than once.

Zakary and Gideon Stark are brilliant, gorgeous and rich. They like to live life on the edge for the rush and are planning on jumping the highest falls in the world in Venezuela. The night before their vacations begin, Zak and Acadia hook up in a bar, not really knowing anything about the other except they have awesome chemistry. When they are awakened by a group of smelly kidnappers, it's just the beginning of an adventure no one could have planned for. Except Acadia comes pretty close.

As the trio trek through the jungle with their kidnappers, they get to know one another, and Zak and Acadia go through a lot of emotions. Starting off with dislike and ending with a love that shocks them both, they just have to get themselves and Gideon out of the mess they are in alive. And find out why someone went to so much trouble to destroy the Stark brothers.

What a fun read. Yes, I said fun. The chemistry between Acadia and Zak was hilarious at times. Acadia is that starched prepared woman who can whip anything you need out of her purse. Minus her purse in the jungle, she has a vest that never fails to produce something to save the day. This at first amazes Zak. Then annoys Zak. Then wins over Gideon who flirts with Acadia. Which annoys Zak. Seeing a pattern? While not all fun and games, the story is very fast-paced and at times gory and violent. People die. While I'm sure Venezuela will ban this book as it is a big huge "Don't Vacation in Venezuela" advertisement, I loved the rapport between the two main characters. I was left clueless as to the villain until the bitter end and you will be too. With occasional mad passionate moments between Zak and Acadia to keep you interested in more than just the mystery, this is one of the better books I've read in a while and one of the better books by this author since her T-FLAC books.
