What a fun ride this was. This series has had all the humor, snark and romance I expect from this author as well as some dark edges. I think Wes is my favorite male character in this series and I can't tell you why, exactly. He's no hero, did a lot of questionable stuff, but it was all in the name of love. He's a strong shifter, a badass croc, but a marshmellow for those he considers his. And Melanie, even though he let her go, has always been his.
Melanie was a riot and kind of a self-portrait for me. I'm not a shifter, but don't mess with my babies. She tried so hard to be a "proper" wife that she kind of suppressed herself, but the real her emerges when a threat is present and she's awesome. The delayed creation of a family for both Wes and Melanie was long overdue and I loved every minute of the story.
As usual, the author set up her next series beautifully and I'm anxious to get started. There were also some cameos by characters from previous books that were a nice addition to the mayhem.
Welcome to Bitten Point, where the toughest battles happen within the heart.
Once upon a time a girl loved a boy, but married another man. What a mistake, especially since that man has been using her as part of his sick plot to experiment on shifters. And he’s got a plan to use their sons.
Over my dead body. But Melanie might need help keeping her boys safe.
Wes is keeping secrets, lots of them, but he doesn’t have a choice. The people he cares about are in danger and he’ll do anything to protect them, but that struggle intensifies when the girl he never stopped loving is drawn into danger.
Can this gator meet the challenge of not only freeing himself from the blackmailing grip of Bittech, but find a way to be with Melanie too?
