Dirty Surrender

Months of undercover work as an FBI agent have boiled down to this. Reid has to rape a woman and then kill her. A good man faced with an impossible situation, does it make him bad to be relieved the woman in question is Alexis, the neighbor he’s been lusting after? That he’s attracted to her is the only thing that saves them both. If he hadn’t been, he couldn’t have "performed" at all. The syringe of a sedative makes his ruse complete, and he will be able to close his investigation. But first he must put Alexis in a secure location until it is all over, and hope she understands and is able to forgive him.

Alexis knows her hot neighbor is interested, but as the months go by and no pursuit is made, she’s reconciled herself to staying single. When she’s grabbed and wakes up restrained and for the most part naked, she can’t believe it when her hot neighbor walks in. What the heck is going on? As he kisses her and whispers a wild story in her ear, she forgets about her circumstances and surrenders to the heat they generate together. She’ll deal with reality later.

This was a smoking hot read. If you have capture fantasies, this will be a keeper for sure. Alexis and Reid have great chemistry, and while they’ve tip toed around one another they both know that they could have something special. When the restraints are removed and they are able to connect physically it becomes obvious that this is more than a short-term thing. With danger and disaster looming, the edge of desire is that much more intense and made this a spectacular read.
