Across the crowded ballroom, where she was "Desperately Seeking a Duke" to fulfill her grandfather's wills requirements; it was love at first site for Phoebe Millbury. And then he turned around! Yes, an exceptional bottom entranced her.
After being caught ogling his backside, Phoebe turned and rushed from the room, creating a champagne catastrophe. The object of her affection rushes to her rescue, and it just gets better from there.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. The heroine was a riot. Outside oh so proper, inside she was something else entirely. The hero sees the real her immediately, and they both fall under one another's spell.
Then a series of events, aren't there always, leads to a delightful story full of emotion, soul-searching and facing one's past. I'd love to go into more detail, but that would ruin the wonderful development of the story. This is the first in a new trilogy by Celeste Bradley, and I for one will be anxiously awaiting the next two books.
