Bound by Law

Men of Honor, Book 2

Law is making tentative steps into the stormy waters of a relationship. He's been hung up on his first love Styx for years. He's never dated or been with the same man more than once. But Paulo isn't a man he can seem to get enough of. Sure it's a sign he gives into his own desires and who should show up but Styx, with danger and mayhem in tow.

Styx has always been a mystery. He woke up on a park bench when he was sixteen with no memories of his previous life. Taken in by Greg, a benevolent gay man who owned a club and collected and protected lost boys, he meets and immediately falls in love with Law. But his past catches up with him and he leaves to protect those he cares about. It's always been about protecting Law. And that's why he's back now.

Paulo melts when he's near Law and he's breaking his own rules to be near him. When their first real date is interrupted by gunshots he finally meets the unforgettable Styx and begins to understand Law's preoccupation with the man. Will Paulo and Styx have a tug-of-war over Law? Will Law choose the love of his past or the man who was giving him a future? What if he can't choose just one?

This was an action packed sex show with a violent bent. While at times it seemed a bit stretched out to accommodate all of the inventive and erotic sex that three men can engage in, the story line itself was dark and intriguing enough to keep me involved. While the end was a bit anti-climactic given the aura of mystery surrounding the villain the emotional journey Law, Styx and Paulo took was exhausting. With lots of personal misery and self-flagellation for past mistakes as well as wondering about the path not taken all three men were train wrecks. But that's what kept me reading. I wanted them to all have a happy ending after all they endured. And if you are wondering if the book is worth they effort, they indeed get their happy ending.
