You’d think crashing on a deserted planet would be bad enough, but no! There’s more! Inara is on the run from Malucons who destroyed her planet and are now intent on destroying her as well. No survivors is the Malucon’s motto, and they mean it. Prepared to fight when she hears others in the bushes she’s shocked to find two handsome specimens in loincloths determined to save her and oh, by the way, she’s their destined mate. At this point my brain would be exploding but Inara handles it with aplomb and sets out to seduce the Spygians who want her, but then leave first chance by stealing their ship. But things change quickly and she finds herself in a pickle. If you’ve read my reviews before you know I enjoy polyamorous reads but always in the back of my mind is the laundry that kind of relationship would generate; loincloths are a welcome respite for this housewife’s imagination. As Inara starts to care for Neichon and Valeron she soon finds they are hiding some vital information from her. Will she be accepting?
This is book two in a series and while things are outlined, you will be better prepared if you read the first book titled Mated. The Spygians are a race that don’t come into their full power until they are mated, and they mate in groups of men to one female. As Neichon and Valeron concentrate on saving Inara they know if they mate her without the rest of their pod they are violating tradition but have no choice due to the ferocity of the Malucons. And Inara is no slouch in the self-defense department either. While I enjoyed this story I liked the first a little more.
When Inara crash lands on a deserted planet, the last thing she expects is to run into two stunning men from the planet Spygia—who claim she is their mate. While she’d love nothing more than to indulge in a steamy encounter—or two or three—with these gorgeous hunks, she’s on the run from the barbaric Malucons who decimated her home planet. And she’s on a mission to find her cousin, the only other survivor. Nothing, not even the promise of paradise to be found in the Spygians’ arms, is going to stop her.
When Inara refuses to be bonded to them, Neichon and Valeron strive to uncover what secrets she’s hiding before they unveil a few of their own. How will their reluctant mate react when she learns she’s destined for, not two, but four Spygian men?
Just so you know—this story contains explicit M/F/M and M/F/M/M/M scenes. Enjoy!
