Friends for years, why did they wait until the night before she moved away? And why did they act like it wasn't anything more than an erotic interlude to be pulled out and examined as a novelty? Phoebe Masters experiences an epiphany and connected with friends Will Bradley and Damon Hunt on a level soul deep. After their less than overwhelming reactions at the end of the weekend spent in bed together she moves out of town and doesn't look back. Until she has no choice but to see the men again face to face.
Will and Damon have been friends, boss and coworker and now they both love the same women. Together again, but they both balk at the threshold of something epic in their lives and let Phoebe get away. Six months later when they are called in on an arson case involving her studio they deem it the time to take what they let get away. Phoebe saying no isn't an option, and they have a lot of persuading to do. Wonder how they'll convince her????
Coming in after the tsunami that sunk their budding relationship we have a little catching up to do. Phoebe is strong in general but mush when it comes to her men. Case in point is her refusal to give in to her admirer Harvey's insistent attempts to take her out. Something about him feels "off" and she goes with her gut. When Will and Damon arrive and come after her with guns blazing she's quick to succumb. Why fight what she craves?
While the sex was plentiful and hot, there were some aspects that pushed my ewww button. I like m‚nages, but some things I'd rather not have to think about. That's my problem, but it did affect the way I interpreted the story. As to the identity of the arsonist there was no great mystery for me. The guys cutting off her arguments against being together cemented their connection for me, and amused me as to how simply men can boil things down. An engaging quick read that had emotion and plot and never seemed to stall.
A fire has destroyed the studio of glassblower Phoebe Masters. And she knows what that means—a visit from the arson investigators. The two men who reduced her heart to cinders. Men she’d hoped never to see again.
One wild weekend with Phoebe overwhelmed Will Bradley and Damon Hunt. Like wankers, they blew it off, burning any chance for a future with the talented beauty. The investigation gets them back in her life, but now they have to prove the three of them were meant to be together. Their strategy?
A body-blazing inferno none of them will ever be able to extinguish.
