Under a Shifter's Moon

Under a Shifter’s Moon by Kari Thomas was a captivating read. Ms. Thomas has a fantastic writing style that maintains her readers’ interest throughout the book. She provides strong, realistic characters and vivid descriptions of their world, which brought her book to life in my head.

I loved the world that Ms. Thomas has created in Under a Shifter’s Moon. The shape shifter community is divided, and so are Lyon and his twin brother. The animosity between the two brothers was obvious and well-written. I fell in love with Lyon. He is a strong alpha male Jaguar shape shifter, but he has a soft and sensitive side. His overwhelming attraction and growing love for Kitlene was an emotional journey that left me breathless. Kitlene was, in some ways, a fragile woman. However, that did not stop her from being strong, brave, and very feisty. She was a perfect match for Lyon, and I cheered them on to their HEA.

Kari Thomas introduced a few secondary characters that made Under a Shifter’s Moon even more enjoyable. They were just enough to enhance the story without taking over. I would have loved to see them each get their own book, so I could get to know them better.

This is the second book that I have read by Kari Thomas. She is certainly an author to watch, and I have found her name leaping up my list of favorite authors. I look forward to reading more from the talented Kari Thomas.

Book Blurb for Under a Shifter's Moon

He was fated for another, but created to love her ...

Decreed by Elders, alpha Jaguar Shifters Lyon Savage and his brother must decide Pride rule in a way not seen for centuries. Under a Shifter's Moon, a mating can take place with a chosen human to produce a child, and the father of that child will become the one Alpha. Now Lyon must choose the love of his Truemate-or accept the decree to save his Pride and secure his future.

Strong and selfless, Kitlene is a rare woman whose blood, like her niece's, carries something of the Shifter within its DNA. Willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of family, she offers herself to the Alpha Cat whose very presence pulls at her soul-and whose love brings with it a deadly complication.
