I have loved Ms. Walters' Tapestry series since the beginning. Always emotive, powerfully seductive, this is a series that has had me addicted and engrossed, Only Ms. Walters can deftly return the reader to Javara so many times without being in anyway formulaic.
In Javara the shortage of females mean that it is the norm for brothers to share a wife. The woman will be officially married to only one of the brothers and any children born to them will be considered his though his brothers will also share her bed. In ancient times, a compassionate sorceress used a magical tapestry to bring women to Javara who would thrive and find love there. The men would have three days to seduce the woman the tapestry brought in the hope that she would accept them and stay in Javara. If she chose not to, the tapestry would return her to her world. Traditionally, the tapestry would visit only once in a generation. The tapestry has appeared an unheard of three times already, so the Hunter brothers, Darien and Jace have given up hope that they will find a bride, via the tapestry or otherwise.
Samantha Calloway loves the farm which has been in her family for generations, but she, the last of the Calloways, has been refused a loan by the bank and is on the verge of losing everything she loves. When two gorgeous strangers appear with tales of having been transported from another world which suggests that neither man is sane, Samantha wants nothing to do with them; she has enough problems of her own. The brothers soon feel more than attraction for the beautiful courageous woman who is unwilling to give up despite the odds against her.
How can Darian and Jace convince Samantha that they have anything to offer her, when she is as tied to her land, as they are to theirs?
I love the way that both men are unafraid to show the vulnerability of their feelings when they fall in love. They have no hesitation in opening their hearts to love. Clearly there are no commitment phobic men on Javara, which is just one of the reasons that I am sad that this is the last book in the series. Perhaps Ms. Walters could be persuaded to revisit Javara in a novella featuring all the previous characters, hint, hint?
Seventh in the Tapestries series.

And when the tapestry transports them all back to her farm, Sam has a choice. She must decide if she will be true to her family and their legacy or if she will abandon it all for a chance at love.
