An ass kicking half demonic bounty hunter shouldn't be saddled with a moniker like Sally. With her skills for finding prey and taking care of herself in the bargain, it's no wonder that she has such a reputation for getting the job done. So since she's pretty much a superhero of sorts she needs a superhero name and a minion to go fetch.
Cue Drake, of the no shirt and shoes and a body to make a girl sin, not that she's in any way repentant. Drake has a chauvinistic attitude and steals her bounty revving her engine.
Ms. Langlais takes us on a roller coaster ride that will have you smiling at your screen and laughing out loud. Sally is lusty, full figured, totally at ease with herself, and her world. Drake is hot, possessive and totally lovable. I loved the inclusion to the plot of the reality TV hunt for her sidekick and superhero name. Sally has a frank and unabashed attitude to her behavior even knowing that cameras are tracking her every move. Instead of a minion/ sidekick, Sally finds a man who is the perfect fit for her and comes to the realization that love doesn't make you weak or a fool. This book is a joy to read, fun, refreshingly original and hilarious. Definitely one I'd recommend.
Do you have what it takes to win?
All I said was I needed a minion. The next thing I know, I'm embroiled in the reality show from Hell with cameras following me everywhere. But who needs a contest when I’m ready to declare a winner—and get freaky—the moment I meet Drake? As soon as I meet him, shirtless and shoeless, in low-slung jeans, I fantasize about the many ways he can serve me—especially in bed.
But Drake, the super-sexy dragon shifter, is after more than a chance to work alongside me in my battle to capture evil souls. He also wants to win my heart. But love is for weaklings, and no matter how much he teases me, I will not give in without a fight—good thing he brought some cuffs.
