Protecting those you love and care about is an awesome responsibility and rescuing them can seem daunting at times. Remember the old saying “Blood is thicker than water” well it may depend on what ones vantage point is I believe.
In this great addition to the Dark Angel series we get a spine tingling adventure. Hanna Peach takes the readers on yet another fearless, heart pounding journey with Alyx, Israel, Jordan and others.
Angelblood is written with such a vibrant imagination and ingenuity. Ms. Peach will definitely have you holding your breath. Angelblood, series book 4, is extremely suspenseful and adventurous. This is a nail-biting paranormal romance which continues to hit all of the high octaves and keeps the drum rolls present as the characters, settings, dialogue, sensory elements and more grab you and demand that you sit down and forget about everything else except what is manifesting in the storyline. Ms. Peach’s smooth, graphic and invigorating writing style is consistent with enough backstory that Angelblood can be appreciated as a standalone. How does this prolific author do it ... she keeps her audience attentive and engaged in every single book? This is truly a gift.
I appreciate the manner in which Ms. Peach creates and allows her characters to flourish and mature in each book.
Alyx has a rough road ahead as she is confronted with the realities of love, need, devotion and loss. Throughout Angelblood I easily identified with the personas of main characters and supporting characters whether they were heroines/heroes and/or villains.
My mind was speeding as I felt Alyx’s complex and conflicting emotions and how she navigates this fragile love triangle. Alyx demonstrates how much she has matured and how she works on the difficult matters of her heart. Alyx shows her awesome powers of leadership. I adore her feistiness and her backbone made of steel as she organizes an army. The fight to take down Samyara while utilizing the abilities of Adere and the galvanized abilities of Israel is no small feat. Angelblood will keep you up all night reading to see how the many pieces of the multiple puzzles are managed. Readers will be amazed and surprised by the outcomes.
I loved this four book and cannot wait for Ms. Peach to drop the next shoe in Book 5 of the Dark Angel series. Once again this is a fantastic read and one that will keep you hopping emotionally and mentally. This book sizzles.
Israel seems…different since he came out of his coma. His life has been saved but Alyx had to make a deal with the devil to do so. She has to hand Israel over to Lucifer unless she finds a way to defeat Samyara. But to do this Alyx will need Israel and Jordan, the two men fighting for her heart, to work together. Can they put aside their differences long enough to defeat Samyara?
Seven days until Israel is sentenced to Hell. Seven days to find Samyara. Seven days to raise an army.
This will be Alyx’s greatest battle yet.
