I remember when I heard the news story about Colton who is now 12 years old in 2011.
When Colton was four he was very sick and went to the hospital and when he was there he closed his eyes and took a trip to heaven and back and tells his story to the world. I love this message: We can go to heaven and experience so many wonderful things. I am a Christian and believe in what Colton saw and heard while he visited Heaven. This book is not for skeptics. It is for Christians that believe in God and what the scriptures have to say concerning God.
Some of the things that Colton experienced / saw:
6. Holy Spirit
What I loved most about this book is the scripture verses that are proof that he really was in Heaven. The message is wonderful and for everyone not just for kids. I think that God used Colton to tell his story of Faith and Belief in Christ so that others may know the truth. As scripture says, the Truth will set you free. I believe the bible is the words of Christ and are the Truth of what Christ wants us to all learn, grow and show the entire world through our actions and deeds.
A young boy emerges from life-saving surgery with remarkable stories of his visit to heaven.
Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.
Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us.
Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.
