Hers to Claim

Lilly has loved Blake for years. When she was eighteen, she gave her virginity to him - only to have him leave without a word. Talk Dirty to Me begins with Lilly’s brother, Ross, asking her to pick up his best friend, Blake, at the airport. Blake has flown in for Ross’ wedding and conveniently enough needs a ride and a place to stay. Before they even get half way home, Blake and Lilly succumb to their desire in a parking lot. She tells him that they can’t get together anymore and that they are finished. Obviously, that doesn’t happen. Neither Blake nor Lilly can keep their attraction to one another quelled.
Tory Richards creates a story in Talk Dirty to Me that falls short of emotional ties. I did not feel for either Lilly or Blake - I had a hard time accepting that there was a great deal of love between the two. He has left not once but twice after getting together with Lilly. The story abruptly ends with Blake admitting that he does love Lilly and they plan to ride off into the Vegas sunset to ‘make it legit.’ Maybe there wasn’t enough back-story or there wasn’t enough length to really make the story believable, but I didn’t feel it with Lilly and Blake.
