Naughty Mommy and Santa's Helpers

Naughty Mommy and Santa's Helper's is Trinity Blacio's follow-up to The Naught Angel and her Three Wise Men. In this story, Annabelle has already given birth to triplets and wants to take a more active role in the family business. The only problem is that she feels like a failure to her children because she can't keep up with the rigors of motherhood. The other problem is that her men have put her in the "mother" box and haven't met her needs in a while. For the men, Annabelle's protection comes first and foremost. She is wearing herself out and they don't like that...so they take matters into their own hands and hire nurses to help take care of the children. When Annabelle comes up with a Christmas Hotline to help out needy families, the first case involves a woman with a different agenda. When Annabelle calls her on it- and calls her on the fact that the woman can't keep her hands off Annabelle's mates- her mates castigate her for her rudeness.

I will admit, the book almost became a "will not finish EVER" at this point. But I've read Blacio before, so I assumed that the men would grovel and repent for their stupidity. I may have been in a bloodthirsty mood the day I read this, but I don't think they groveled near enough. As with other Blacio novels, the men are high handed, protective alphas who don't know when to stop. I don't read Annabelle as being a strong character with her men. She usually just allows the smexing to override her angst.
